This is the second win for MetWest in the category having also won the award in 2017. The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive programs of their kind in the commercial real estate industry recognizing quality in buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. BOMA, Building Owners and Managers Association, Tampa Bay held the award ceremony in November. MetWest now goes on to compete in the Southern Region competition held in April 2022.
During the competitions, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and “green” policies and procedures. The TOBY awards recognize excellence in building management, operational efficiency, tenant retention, emergency planning and community impact.

MetWest Senior Chief Engineer, DAVID MCCOY Wins Engineer of the Year Award
The Building of the Year Award would not have been possible without our stellar Cushman & Wakefield management team including our award-winning engineer, David McCoy. David has been a significant contributor to the operations and success of our award-winning property. For the past 14 years he has dedicated his professional talents to MetWest. It is only fitting that as he sets to retire he has been recognized by BOMA Greater Tampa Bay with the Engineer of the Year award.
