On November 2nd BOMA Greater Tampa Bay awarded MetWest One the TOBY for Office Building of the Year 100,000 to 249,999 square feet.

The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive programs of their kind in the commercial real estate industry recognizing quality in buildings and rewarding excellence in building management.

During the competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and “green” policies and procedures.

MetWest One is located within MetLife’s award-winning mixed-use development MetWest International. The development located in Tampa’s Westshore Business District includes three office buildings: One MetroCenter, MetWest One and MetWest Two with a third office building will be started as demand dictates. Five restaurants, Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant, Kona Grill, Texas de Brazil, Thai Prime and Del Frisco’s Grille along with Davidoff of Geneva cigar bar and lounge are located in the project’s retail village. The on-site 175-room AC Hotel by Marriott is slated to open March 2018.
